Coach Taylor – Do College Coaches Come and Watch High School Games

April 21st, 2010 - by Rick McDole

Coach Taylor – How common is it for college coaches to actually come watch high school games?

Depending on the sport, this can be very common. Most coaches have the option to get out and recruit on the road several times a year, and many take full advantage of it. I encourage every family to prepare for these periods of time and maximize their opportunities to interact with coaches one on one. However, they do not just show up at games randomly to discover prospects. They will be attending games to evaluate the players who are already on their list. Make sure they know about you ahead of time…and early in the process.
