Mendoza to Speak to Top High School Athletes for Nation’s Premier Athletic Recruiting Firm

Chicago, IL — (August 9th, 2011) Two time Olympian and current USSSA Pride softball player, Jessica Mendoza, joins the NCSA Athletic Recruiting team; it was announced today by NCSA’s Founder & CEO Chris Krause.

Mendoza, 32, will serve in the role as an educational speaker and leadership ambassador as she visits with a number of High School student Athletes and their families around the country to empower them to become future leaders through sports and to teach the commitment level required to get recruited early on in their high school careers.

“We are thrilled to add Jessica to our already robust roster of current and former professional players”, said Krause, NCSA’s Founder & CEO. “Jessica brings a unique skill set of wealth of knowledge and experience and has a keen understanding of the competitive landscape facing student athletes seeking to receive college athletic scholarships.”

NCSA employs more than 300 former college athletes, and coaches like Mendoza who speaks to the virtues of leveraging the NCSA Network to assist the process of being recruited for scholarships, internships and business careers.

NCSA is the nation’s first Athleadership Network connecting students and their families along with high school and college coaches and the business community for the purpose of maximizing athletic scholarship opportunity and life’s potential. The network is made available to high school student athletes around the country through relationships with ESPN, NIKE, IMG Academies, Under Armour and NFLPA. NCSA offers students free and customized fee for membership programs for access to each community. The average scholarship financial package received by student athletes who utilized the NCSA program has increased from $15,000 in 2008 to almost $19,000 in 2011. During the current calendar year, NCSA has matched student scholarships at over a 90% rate of success.

“I am really excited to be part of the NCSA team.  Together we will be able to help more athletes get ahead through sports, learn how to be leaders and help kids and their parents make the correct and most important decision they will  have in their lifetime.” said Mendoza.

Mendoza is a former 4-time First Team All-American at Stanford University, and played on the United States Women’s National softball team from 2004-2010.  She represented the United States at the 2004 Olympic Game in Athens where she won the Gold, and in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing where she won the Silver.  Mendoza is currently playing with the USSSA Pride out of Kissimmee, Florida.
