Avoid the “Name Game”

Student-athletes need to avoid the “Name Game”. They should not judge universities based solely on name recognition. Over 1800 colleges are in D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and Junior College levels. At this point, students do not know enough about these colleges to start ignoring schools based only on their name or the size of the program. In the end, it’s about getting an education and playing your sport at the next level. Do your research before you close the door on an opportunity that might change your life.
