College coaches will look for students who love to compete, so student-athletes need to pursue organized competition outside of high school, looking for a club that will provide the best opportunity to play against stronger competitors, improve skill level, and receive coaching. Athletes should be developing positive relationships with high school and club coaches, who will be asked to serve as references to college coaches.
It’s important to stay active throughout your recruiting process and playing on a club team could get you one step closer to recruitment. If you’re not talking to college coaches click here and start building your athletic resumé and get noticed.
