The first round of the NCAA Women’s Volleyball bracket starts tonight, and we’ve been comparing our favorites–and talking up our alma maters–all week. Are you excited?
If you’re not up-to-speed on who to watch in this year’s tournament, Mechelle Voepel at EPSNW gives use the lowdown with the top 5 things to know about this year’s NCAA volleyball tournament.
And if you still want more, Matt Schick and Maria Taylor talk through the top four seeds’ chances of getting through:
Stanford, Pac-12 champs, are seeking their seventh national title
Texas, Big 12 champs, seeking their third national title
Washington, Pac-12 runner-up, seeking their first national title since 2005
Wisconsin, Big 10 champs, seeking their 1st national title
Voepel says that the toughest region is Wisconsin’s, which could include a rematch against last year’s victors, Penn State. For the sheer virtuosity that would come out of that match, we’re hopign they’ll square off.
And you? What match are you most excited to see?
