I'm a dedicated goalie, I've been playing since I was 6. I've played on several Premier teams so I was able to get a variety of training from different coaches & I'm so excited that I found this web site, I've already been in touch with the NCSA. I'm in process of filling out all the information that the recruiters need. Keeping the faith that their is a college who needs my spirit! Thank you for your guidance, Be Recruited it's wonderful for those of us from small towns.

William: For football, coaches are allowed to make evaluations for Juniors (2011s) between April 15th-May31st.
Randy: LS do not typically get scholarships there first year, especially the first year, coming right from HS (rather than JUCO). The best advice I would say is to try to leverage some of the lower level (D2) financial aid money you receive, and let the D1 school know if it comes down to it you have to worry about the family so you are going to go to the school that is giving you money.
Kathyrn: It depends on if you transfer down, up, lateral. If you transfer down (i.e. go from D1 to D2 there is no penalty), any other transfer (D1-D1) you incur a 1 year penalty.
Scott: No you do not, but you must be registered with the clearinghouse, and have filled out the amaeturism questionaire

This question rings too close to home for me. My highschool coach chose to play sophomores over half of us seniors, and even though I did not find myself on the field too often, I am a preferred walk-on at a high quality D-2 university. Yes it is possible, and it is very rewarding.

Kristine - Why are you relying on your select coach to make that call? Why aren't you calling the college coach and finding out for yourself? That's the only way you'll know for sure.
