Position Location: Nationwide; Work 'virtually' from home or own office
Position Overview:
National Collegiate Scouts at NCSA are essential in the explanation of the recruiting process to student-athletes and their families, as well as the enrollment of student-athletes into customized NCSA memberships. Scouts perform an expert Recruiting Analysis over the phone with interested recruits to determine whether they are qualified for NCSA membership, and if qualified, determine which membership package is the best for that family. The majority of a Scout's work is done over the phone and is conducted on nights and weekends. Compensation is 100% commission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting phone evaluations with student-athletes and their parents to determine which college programs match their qualifications
- Providing student-athletes and families expert advice about the collegiate recruiting process
- Effectively communicating NCSA’s role in the recruiting process
- Enrolling qualified student-athletes from all areas of the country in customized NCSA memberships
Requirements:
- Collegiate athletic experience, competitive coaching or sales background required
- Must have 3 or more years of professional experience
- Must work well independently and in team environments
- Working knowledge of multiple sports
- A passion for working with high school student-athletes and families
- Knowledgeable about the collegiate recruiting process
- Highly organized
- Strong phone presence
- Competitive and entrepreneurial mindset
- History of success at previous positions
- A college degree from an accredited 4-year college or University
- Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends
