My most profound aspirations and goals would be to compete at the collegiate level. Along with having the physical ability, I believe that ones mental capability affects being able to perform at a high level greatly. Throughout my 12 years of competitive cheer, I’ve gotten to go through the many experiences cheer has to throw at you. I was able to learn how my body reacts physically and mentally under pressure, and be able to direct it all towards great things. I think this trait has helped me drastically in the cheerleading world, and would make me different from other recruits. I also put it upon myself to do other sports to put myself in different environments so I can be more of a well-rounded athlete. By doing varsity track and cheer, I was able to learn how my body reacts to new and different environments in relation to performing. I know myself better than I would’ve ever imagined through the exciting experiences that both cheerleading and track have given to me. By helping me learn all skills helpful to performing and executing my sport I believe it has shaped me greatly into the athlete I am today. With challenging myself by participating in 2 varsity sports in school while also challenging myself academically, it has helped shape and develop me into a young woman with vision focused on setting and achieving goals. Being able to learn skills of time management, reducing stress levels, and goal achievement have all come from my years in cheer. I am ecstatic for what the future in cheer and education bring to me in the upcoming year and cannot wait to get into new pieces of my life!
