2010 NCSA College Power Rankings
Top Athletic & Academic Colleges
Williams College set the pace amongst all NCAA schools in the NCSA power rankings in 2010. The Ephs were first in the US News ranking, fourth in student-athlete graduation rate and topped the Division III Directors' Cup rankings. Williams' women's rowing and women's tennis teams took home national championships while its women's and men's cross country and women's soccer teams were third at their national competitions.
Williams and Amherst College battled it out for the top spot in these rankings. Amherst ended up second this year after also finishing first in the US News rankings and fourth in student-athlete graduation rate; it was third in the Directors' Cup rankings. Amherst was followed by Middlebury College while Stanford University was fourth, the first Division I school listed. Washington University of St. Louis took the fifth spot.
