Charlie Adams brings 23 years of experience covering high school athletes who reached their dream of playing college sports. Adams was an award winning sportscaster at television stations in South Bend, IN, New Orleans, LA, Bakersfield, CA, and Meridian, MS.
Adams personally covered and interviewed over two thousand athletes who went on to play at the college level in football, basketball, volleyball, softball, baseball, golf, swimming and other sports. At WSBT TV in South Bend his weekly feature, "This Week's High School Outstanding Student-Athlete" exemplified everything that a young person in athletics should strive to be if they aspired to compete on the college level.
Because of his passion for reporting on high school athletics, Adams was the first sportscaster from a South Bend based television station to earn the prestigious Indiana High School Athletic Association's Distinguished Media Service award.
In South Bend, Adams covered Notre Dame, Big Ten, and small college sports for 16 years. He had daily behind the scenes access to observe what it took for athletes to reach and succeed at the collegiate level.
As a sportscaster, Adams personally interviewed high achievers such as Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Coach Pat Summit, Olympic gold medal swimmer Lindsay Benko, Jim Tressel, Karch Kiraly, and Larry Bird.
In addition to Adams’ roll as an NCSA Educational Speaker, he is also currently a Peak Performance speaker and trainer. Adams continues to provide commentary for pro, college and high school sports on such stations as Comcast SportsNet Chicago and SBT2.
