Chris Krause, a former full scholarship linebacker at Vanderbilt University, founded the National Collegiate Scouting Association (NCSA) in April, 2000 with the goal of matching and introducing college coaches to qualified student-athletes. Krause's foundation for NCSA came as a result of years of recruiting experience where he developed an awareness of what college coaches are looking for and in turn, what student-athletes need to do to get to the next level.
Prior to founding NCSA, Krause had 11 years of experience in collegiate recruiting. In 1989, he started the College Athletic Recruiting Consultation Service. In five years, Krause opened 26 scouting offices across the Mid-West. Krause also personally assisted more than 2,000 families in earning over $100,000,000 in scholarships and financial aid to the top colleges and universities in the nation. During 1994 and 1995, Krause sponsored 20 area prep athletes who went on to compete in college and receive more than $260,000 in scholarship and financial aid during their first year of college.
NCSA, led by Krause, continues to set the standards for collegiate scouting.
