"How to Build a Winning Program" with guest Bill Lam

Bill Lam is the most successful wrestling coach in North Carolina Tar Heel history. Lam joins Chris and Jon to discuss how he built a winning wrestling program at a perennial basketball school and how the landscape of college recruiting changed over the 30 years he coached at North Carolina. Lam led the Tar Heels to 15 ACC titles and mentored five individual NCAA champions. He coached 37 All-Americas and earned ACC Coach of the Year honors ten times. In 1982, he was honored as national coach of the year. In 1983, he was voted National Man of the Year.
"Profiles of Success" -Randy Pfund is the General Manager of the Miami Heat. Pfund's business and basketball savvy helped bring superstars Shaquille O'Neal and Dwayne Wade to Miami, making the Heat an NBA frontrunner. Pfund played basketball at Wheaton College and coached under Pat Riley for the L.A Lakers before coming to Miami with Riley.
"ACT/SAT Prep" with guest Annette Riffle (Kaplan Test Prep)

Annette Riffle, the National Director for Tutoring Programs for Kaplan's Test Prep Division shares her knowledge of what to expect and how to prepare for the SAT/ACT. The SAT and ACT are two of the most important measurements in determining which schools prospective college students qualify for. Kaplan provides services ranging from preparation for standardized college tests, college admissions guidance, and financial aid planning.
"Profiles of Success" - Bob Thomas was named an Illinois Supreme Court Justice in 2000. His academic and athletic resumes are equally impressive. Thomas was a place kicker for the University of Notre Dame and kicked the winning field goal against Alabama in 1973 which gave the Irish a National Championship. He was also named to the prestigious Academic All-American All-Time Team and was inducted into the Academic Hall of Fame in 1996.
"Soccer Made in America" with guest Alek Mihailovi

A former 2-time All-American soccer player and All-Time leading scorer at Jacksonville University , Aleksander Mihailovic discusses his expertise on one of the fastest growing sports, soccer. Mihailovic was also named player of the decade at Jacksonville. Mihailovic is the founder of the Chicago Blast Soccer club and the Director of Coaching Education for the Illinois State Soccer Association.
"Profiles of Success" - Archie Manning is a football legend. He was a recipient of the 1969 Walter Camp Award and a two-time All-SEC selection. In 1989, Manning was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. After being selected second overall in the 1971 NFL draft, Manning played for 14 years with New Orleans, Houston and Minnesota. He is still New Orleans' career leader in total yards and touchdown passes, and was named the NFL MVP in 1978.

When Jay Straight told his friends he was going to accept a scholarship to play basketball at the University of Wyoming, most listened in disbelief. After all, Straight was born and raised in inner city Chicago and had basketball offers from Marquette, Boston College and Iowa State. What would a kid from inner city Chicago do in Laramie, WY? What Straight did is start all four years for the Cowboys, earned First Team All-Mountain West Conference and Defensive Player of the Year honors, and most importantly graduated with his degree in Communications in four years.
"Profiles of Success" - Larry Wert was a two-time All-American diver for the University of Wisconsin Badgers. After earning his degree in Journalism from UW, Wert embarked on a media and broadcasting career that has spanned over 30 years. In 1998, the Chicago native was named President and General Manager of NBC5-Chicago and now runs one of the premier media outlets in one of the largest U.S. markets.
"Need a Katalyst in Your Life?" with guest Kevin Carroll
A full-time Katalyst (someone who helps turn creative ideas into reality), Kevin Carroll was a consultant for Nike for seven years and since that time, has brought his powerful message of creativity and achieving maximum human potential to organizations such as Starbucks, ESPN, Capital One and the NHL. The Katalyst recently authored the book, The Rules of the Red Rubber Ball: Find and Sustain Your Life's Work.
"Profiles of Success" - In only her fourth season as the head coach of the Northwestern University Women's Lacrosse team, Kelly Amonte-Hiller led the Wildcats to the first NCAA Lacrosse Championship by any team, male or female, outside of the Eastern Time Zone in 2005. As a player, Amonte-Hiller was named the NCAA Division I Lacrosse Player of the Year in 1995 and 1996, leading the University of Maryland to national titles in both of those seasons.

Financial aid expert, Tim Austin discusses what families must do in order to relieve the pressure of paying for a college education. Austin, who is the president of the National Association of College Funding Advisors, will also discuss the different types of financial aid available. Austin is the author of the book, How to Pay for College without Going Broke.
"Profiles of Success" - NBA Hall of Famer, Dave Cowens played for the Boston Celtics for ten of his 11 NBA seasons. He was voted the NBA's MVP in 1973 and was a seven-time All-Star. His hard work and hustle helped lead the Celtics to two NBA championships. Cowens was named head coach of the new WNBA Chicago franchise in May 2005. The team will begin play in 2006.
"Preps Preview" with guest Tom Lemming
Tom Lemming is the lead preps analyst for College Sports TV. With the fall sports season approaching, Lemming shares his perspective on when college prospects get on college coaches' radars and when they are committing to schools. He also discusses what high school student-athletes must do to gain a competitive advantage in the college recruiting process.
"Profiles of Success" - Mike Tomczak entered the NFL in 1985 and played six seasons with the Chicago Bears and seven seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also played with the Packers and Browns. Tomczak finished his college career at Ohio State second all-time in passing yards with 1,569. He also completed 376 of 675 passes with 32 TDs in his career. He received his degree in Communications.
"Recruiting Realities" with guest Jack Renkens

Renkens' highly sought-after program, Recruiting Realities, has been featured at hundreds of schools across the United States, on numerous television programs and at sports camps from coast to coast. "Profiles of Success" - Sacramento Monarchs' guard Ruthie Bolton is a two-time WNBA All-Star and was named USA Basketball's Female Player of the Year in 1991. In 2000, she helped bring home gold from Sydney. An Auburn graduate, Bolton led the Tigers to four NCAA tournaments. She was also an Academic All-SEC selection and majored in Exercise Physiology.
