Coming out of high school I knew that I wanted to play college baseball. I was an above average player on my high school team but was not highly recruited during my junior and senior years so I decided to walk on at McHenry County College.
My successful freshman season allowed me to receive a scholarship during my sophomore year. I started both years at MCC and had a couple of offers to transfer after my sophomore year. However, my lack of knowledge about the recruiting process and indecisiveness caused me to delay enrollment for the fall semester during my junior year.
Ultimately, I decided to attend Augustana College and play baseball. I believe that I made the right choice but my recruiting process could be described as rocky. The knowledge and guidance provided by NCSA would have surely made my recruiting process much smoother. I look forward to helping our student athletes to find the best academic and athletic fit for themselves.
