Jim Goranson, a former junior linebacker on Georgetown University's football team excelled on and off the field. After initially committing to the University of Illinois, he came to find that academically he would not succeed four years playing for their program.
National Collegiate Scouting Association President/CEO, Chris Krause signed Jim on NCSA's program in 2001. Chris assisted Jim with the vital necessities in making it to the collegiate level.
By Jim's senior season he was sought after by many big time schools, including Vanderbilt, BYU, Kansas State and almost all the schools in the Big Ten and MAC conference. At the end of his senior season he had the top two schools: The University of Illinois and Georgetown University in Washington D.C.
After receiving a full scholarship offer from the University of Illinois , he told the coaches at Georgetown that he was greatly appreciative of their interest, but that he was going to Illinois.
At Illinois, Jim received little playing time and was suffering academically. Jim contacted Chris to ask for his assistance in helping him transfer to Georgetown University where he knew he would succeed on and off the field.
