NCSA Educational Speaker Toby Myles was a highly recruited football prospect from Callaway High School in Jackson, Mississippi. Through his hard work and determination, Myles was awarded a scholarship to Mississippi State University in 1993.
After spending two years with the Bulldogs, Myles made the decision to transfer to Jackson State University where he saw the opportunity to make an even larger impact on the field at the college level. This was a gutsy move for Myles to make half way through his collegiate athletic career, and could have potentially ended his dreams of playing the game.
Fortunately, his experiences at Jackson State University allowed him flourish and reach his full potential as a student-athlete, culminating by being drafted by the NFL in 1998. Myles went on to have a successful four year career in the NFL playing for teams such as the New York Giants, Oakland Raiders and Cleveland Browns before retiring in 2002.
