Personal Statement

Hi! My name is Christiana. Currently, I am a senior at Carmel High School in Carmel, CA, set to graduate in 2017.  I am fast, easy to coach, and dedicated to field hockey! When I’m not practicing, I’m studying.  My Weighted GPA is a 4.60 (ACT Score-35) and I am in the top 5% in my class.  My mental preparation for every field hockey practice and every game is fueled by my desire to be the best athlete, teammate, and field hockey player I can be. I’m honored to have been chosen as a Varsity player my Freshman year and even more honored to have earned a number of athletic awards from my team, league and section in such a short time.

When I’m not on the field or studying, I volunteer regularly at the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and at my local hospital in the inpatient rehabilitation unit. I am also a member of the National Charity League (President). One of my favorite quotes that I live by: “There may be people that have more talent than you, but there's no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do.”– Derek Jeter
