I was in sixth grade I picked up a stick for the first time. I had been playing competitive soccer for several years and had never heard of field hockey. I almost didn't sign up when I found out we wore skirts. Luckily I stuck with it and by the end of that year I knew that this sport was my passion. Playing field hockey has taught me to embrace uncertainty. It's taught me that you can't be afraid to try something new, be that on or off the field.
My trainers are some of my greatest rolemodels and have helped me to strengthen my skills and confidence. One thing I know for certain, is that I am capable of competing at a college level. I just need an opportunity to prove it. I love field hockey and would love the chance to continue playing while getting an education. I am extremely motivated to do this, and it is that drive that has kept me working hard and staying focused on both my skills and my acedemics. What I bring to my teammates and coaches is the commitment to put 100% into everything I do. I don't stop when I'm tired, I stop when the game is over and I've done my job to the best of my ability.
