Personal Statement
I strive for excellence each and everyday. Whether it be at a desk, a field or in the workplace. Through this, I have learned life's most important lessons, including, time management, social connections, competition and the concept of hard work. My week revolves around field hockey, school and work. I play field hockey everyday, no matter the test upcoming, or the chores I am required to do, or my exhaustion from a long day at work. To me, the field is where all of these problems vanish. Every Wednesday, I travel about one and a half hours to play for two of my club teams, HTC. I am gone from after school until the time in which my peers are asleep. During the day, I ponder about all the work being assigned. However, once I set foot on the field, I no longer recall the test I have in the next few days, or the pop quiz I had second period. No matter the day or circumstance, field hockey is the place in which I am able to abscond to the realities and hardships of everyday life. Evident by my dedication, I stand out from many others. My personal philosophy is if I am going to do something, there is no point in doing so if I fail to go above and beyond. I play for 3 club teams, while attending two leagues. My club teams include HTC, HTC Indoor and futures. I also participate in Dodgers and a local league. I will not fail to seize opportunity when it is in my vicinity. Field hockey is where I learned who I was, my outlook and attitudes on life, my friends, and life's most precious lessons, I could never imagine my life without my cherished game.
