Personal Statement
For many years, I have aspired to play field hockey at the collegiate level. However, up until I began the recruiting process I wasn't really aware of what I would need to do to fulfill this long-term goal. The way that I was raised has allowed me to believe that I should always be my best self in everything I do. Whether that be directed towards athletics, academics, or even socially. Throughout the past six years, field hockey has been one of the most consist things in my life and I have devoted many hours into making myself the best possible player I could be as of now. I thoroughly love field hockey and am driven to become the best player I can be everyday and will continue to do this as long as I am able to.
Being an international player, I can bring a college team some diversity to their playing style. I have been coached by players from all around the world who have all profoundly taught me. In addition, playing in a competitive league at prep school has helped me to grow remarkably as a player. From an academic standpoint, going to a boarding school with a such rigorous schedule has definitely prepared me for the next level an immense amount. This, along with many leadership positions I hold at school, has allowed me to develop as a student and a person. My dream college would have challenging, prestigious academics, a great field hockey program, and a good sense of community.
