Personal Statement

I am a student athlete who is interested in becoming a Physical Education teacher.  A student first, I aim to be a goalkeeper for a collegiate field hockey team.  I am a team player both on the field and in the classroom.  As a goalkeeper, I know that communication is key on the field.  It's important in our sport, but it's also important in life.  I am a well-rounded and successful student who works hard to be a good athlete, student, and person.  My involvement in sports shows my passion for athletics: field hockey, indoor track, softball, and Unified Sports (with my special education peers).  Off the field, I am involved in our school's Feminist Club (which I founded), Future Educators (secretary), and Young Democrats.  I  volunteer at my church,  for the Angelman Syndrome Foundation’s National Walk, and with our town’s youth field hockey and softball programs.  Also, I work at a local farm in my hometown.  I am interested in a college or university that will be a good match academically, athletically, and personally.  I am busy preparing myself for college, and I am excited to begin my college career!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
