Personal Statement
In the spring of 2015, I was introduced to field hockey and immediately fell in love with the sport. After working hard all summer, I earned a spot as a starter on the New Trier High School freshman team in a very competitive program (2015 Illinois state champions). As a new player in the Futures program, I was evaluated as a strong athlete, motivated, and a quick learner with a lot of potential. Excited to keep improving, I regularly practice independently to advance my skills.
Academics are a top priority and I am enrolled in the highest level of courses possible. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering with the developmentally disabled in a basketball program once a week. Watching my older brother's commitment and positive experience as a top Division I All American athlete has been a big inspiration for me with field hockey. My goal is to play field hockey at a school with both very strong academics and athletics. I would love to be part of a team where I can train and compete alongside my teammates who will push me to be my best - on the field, in the classroom, and in the community!
