My name is Kali Judkins, I am a sophomore at Mount Blue High School in Farmington, ME. I play club field hockey for Maine Rapids coached by Andrea Thebarge(Thomas College Field Hockey Head Coach). My goal is to play field hockey in college in whichever division suits me best. I love field hockey because it's not an easy sport, you don't just wake up one day and become the best, you have to work for it. Field hockey is always changing from the skills to the rules. I enjoy playing because there is always something I can improve on, there is always another skill to learn, another drill to practice. You can always improve, and get better.
I think I would be a good candidate for any team because I'm very outgoing and I can adapt to any situation easily. I am a team player and enjoy working with players from teams around the state of Maine. There is more to field hockey than just the game, I enjoy building personal relationships with my coaches and teammates on and off the field. I am also a very coachable player and will adapt to any situation.
I am currently enrolled in three honors classes; Honors English, Honors Earth Science, and Honors Novice Spanish. Heading into my sophomore year I will be taking Honors English, Honors Intermediate Spanish, and Honors Biology. My goal is to achieve the highest level of education I can, whether that involves taking college credit classes at my high school, or enrolling in the Bridge Program at Mt. Blue High School.
