Personal Statement

I am the kind of person who is gritty and never gives up. I push myself through because I want to be the best that I can be. This persevering personality of mine creates an amazing work ethic. Along with my work ethic, people would describe me as having outstanding organizational skills. As I grew I became influenced by many things. My friends have influenced me to always take opportunities I may never get again. My parents have influenced me to always do what I think is right. When I dream about my future it influences me to be the best that I can be. Field hockey has been the biggest influence of my life.

Field hockey has helped drastically in my confidence, time management, and leadership skills. Confidence because I have always been a better player when I believe in myself, so now I carry confidence with me. Time management because of the amount of activities I am involved in, school, school clubs, school field hockey team, elite field hockey team, work, family activities, and friend activities. Leadership skills because I have learned to lead my team to better themselves and the team, lead in individual skills and confidence, and lead them all together to unify our team as one. Before I started playing in third grade, I was riding in a car with my mom coming back from a doctor's appointment. We rode past a field of girls with sticks in their hands, running, and dribbling down the field. I asked my mom what they were doing. She simply responded with “That’s field hockey. I played when I was in high school.” My face lit up and I knew I wanted to play. Now, besides my academic goals, I wish to always be playing field hockey. This sport has become a part of me and helps to relieve my stress. It made me who I am today. As a high school student I plan to graduate with honors in all semesters of my four years and end in the top ten. My college goals are to pass all classes and graduate with a higher than average GPA.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
