I have played field hockey since first grade in Fall, Winter and Summer recreational leagues. I have played 3 years of club level field hockey with H2O Field Hockey - beginning in 6th grade in 2013. In each of those years, I have participated the National Indoor Tournament (NIT), National Club Championship (NCC), and Disney Junior Field Hockey Classic events. In 2013 my U12 team won Mickey Flight Silver at the Disney Junior Field Hockey Classic, and achieved gold in 2014. My 2015 H20 team won the U14 Region 7 Regional Club Championship (RCC) as our qualifier for the NCC. I've participated in Futures for the past 2 years and am slated to participate again in 2016. Our 2016 H2O season is just beginning and I am excited to see what our team and club can accomplish.
Last Fall, as a Freshman, I was a starter for the Bel Air High School varsity field hockey team. I started in, and played the majority of every game, including the post season. My coach valued me as a utility player and rotated me through nearly every field position, depending upon the needs for each game. In the State Tournament, I played right midfielder for every minute of the five game post season tournament. I am extremely proud to report that we won the MPSSAA 3A State Championship.
This year, as a sophomore I start as well and play either midfield or defense. I hope to help my team and provide leadership in order to succeed again.
As you can see, I absolutely love field hockey. I am extremely dedicated to the game and am very interested in playing in college. I am interested in pursuing a degree in medicine. I have been accepted to and am participating in the Biomedical Sciences program at my high school, based on a curriculum developed by Project Lead The Way, a nonprofit organization promoting STEM education – Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in high schools around the country. I have a 4.125 weighted GPA. I began JV Girls Lacrosse in the spring, and I am in Core Club, Varsity Club and Hope Club and am a manager of the girls' varsity and junior varsity basketball teams.
