Personal Statement

My interests are in engineering, science, mathematics and foreign language.  I am currently 8th in my class with a weighted GPA over 4.35.  I have pursued the most rigorous academic program available at my school, Oliver Ames High School, in North Easton, MA.  I plan to continue to challenge myself academically and am looking forward to studying engineering in college.  My goal would be to achieve my Bachelor's degree and then to continue on to earn my Master's degree and to one day work in biomedical engineering research.  I started playing field hockey in 7th grade and immediately fell in love with the game and being a goalkeeper.  I am currently a member of the Lead The Way Field Hockey Club on the U16 Select team.  I have participated in the USA Field Hockey Futures program for the last three years.  I am hoping to continue to play in college.  My other sports include Skiing, where I am currently ranked 3rd in my school, and Track and Field, where I recently received 1st place in the State Discus Division II Relay.  I play violin and regularly participate in the district festivals and local ensembles.  I also actively volunteer in my church.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
