Personal Statement
Since I began playing field hockey my freshman year, I have enjoyed the challenge it provides me: Not only do I have the opportunity to physically push myself in practice, games, and conditioning, but also I balance field hockey with the rest of my school life (which includes several non-field hockey clubs and AP and honors courses, NHS, and my--so far successful--goal of maintaining honor roll). I have come a long way in field hockey: I started playing with no experience as a freshman and quickly became a starting JV goalkeeper. In my sophomore year, I started for the varsity team. Now, in this past season (my junior year), I was starting for varsity, a team captain, and was recognized as MVP and All-state. I want to continue succeeding in field hockey and school throughout my senior year and college. I wish to double major in Computer Science (or a similar degree) and Engineering (probably Mechanical or Environmental).
