I love field hockey and I’d really like an opportunity to contribute to a team and grow as an individual at the collegiate level. I have played competitive field hockey for a long time and a large part of who I am has been shaped by being on teams. The experience I have in competitive environments and on strong teams has shaped my character and who I am as a player: a determined individual with a strong work ethic. Off the field, who I am as a person is partly informed by my experience on the field. I take a lot of pride in who I am as a person and humility is a core trait of mine because if you are not humble then you cannot put the team's needs ahead of yours, and ultimately I am a team player first.
When I think about what I want in a collegiate experience it’s a team that is passionate about competing in a supportive environment with strong academics. I am not sure what I would like to study at this point and for that reason attending a college or university that supports a liberal arts curriculum will be important for my development. When I am not practicing this summer - be it field hockey or soccer - I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and being outdoors.
