Jenna Livathares '25 Recruiting Profile

 I am currently a Junior attending Northern Highlands Regional High School, where I play on our Varsity Team. I have been a member of the Varsity Team since my freshman year. This year we repeated Bergen County Champions and moved on to the NJ Group Three Sectional Finals. I received First Team All - Conference NEFHL and Second Team All County Defense 2021-2022, 2022-2023 and Offense 2023-2024. I was also voted Captain for the 2024-2025 season. 

I started playing field hockey in 5th grade where I learned to love the sport. I play for New Heights Field Hockey Club, playing defense and mid-field on the U19 Black team (indoor & outdoor). I have participated in NIT, RCC/NCC, Disney, Festival Tampa & Sunshine Showcases, Shooting Star and more. 

Playing indoor field hockey helps my ball and defensive skills and keeps my endurance high. Field hockey has become a big part of my life, shaping not only my physical abilities, but also my character and personal growth. Through playing field hockey I've learned how to manage my time and become disciplined. I have dedicated many hours practicing my skills, both on and off the field. I love the fast-paced speed of the game and constantly seek ways to improve. I am a team player that leads by example and always encourages my teammates. I am very coachable and hard working. Field hockey has given me leadership opportunities where I strive to motivate and inspire my teammates as well as, through volunteering as an assistant coach at my towns youth field hockey camp. 

In the classroom, I work hard and maintain a high GPA. I was selected as an Ambassador to guide the incoming Freshman. I am also, a member of Girl Scouts of the USA, where I earned my Bronze and Silver Awards: I volunteered at a literacy program for underprivileged children, teaching them reading and writing skills. When I realized they would be going back to school with almost no school supplies I developed and organized a donation drive to collect supplies. I also worked with a younger troop to help them design and decorate backpacks for each child.

 I am excited to play at the collegiate level. I want to attend college where I can be challenged both in the classroom and on the field. I also, want to be a good role model to my teammates, and make my parents proud.
