I am a driven individual who is very serious about both academics and field hockey. I find that I am a natural leader. This is evident in my participation in various school clubs and events, and I have been fortunate to have been elected as captain for my senior season by my peers. In addition to playing, I also enjoy coaching elementary and middle school field hockey in my spare time. I aspire to graduate with a degree in International Studies and a minor in Spanish and to play field hockey with a strong team and coaching staff. I attend a nationally ranked high school in New Jersey that encourages student athletes to do their best in and out of the classroom. This has given me a good idea of what it is to be a student athlete in college. I have been able to maintain a 3.55 GPA my freshman and sophomore year and I intend to raise that GPA before graduation and when I go to college. My academics are very important to me so I would like to attend a college or university with a strong academic program that also has a competitive field hockey program.
