Sophia Brown '24 Recruiting Profile

Sports have always been a huge part of my life. I've been playing ice hockey for about ten years, and it had always been my favorite sport, up until about three years ago when I picked up a field hockey stick for the first time. I decided to try the sport, despite being a little late to the game, and I immediately fell in love with it. I've become determined to further my abilities despite how far I feel I've gotten. I've put in substantial time and effort into working out and practicing my skills on my own time as well as practicing with the school and club teams. I, as well as my coaches and teammates, consider me to be a playmaker with advanced field vision and a strong ability to distribute the ball.  

My work ethic and my determination to be my best self has always been and will always be my top priority. I always make sure to put in 110% effort into everything I do, especially academics. My grades are just as important to me as my skills on the field, which is why I am looking for a college that suits me both athletically and academically. I look forward to attending a college that allows me to be a part of a team as well succeed academically.
