Personal Statement
My name is Marlee and I am very passionate about excelling not only in field hockey, but also in academics. I am very involved in off-season field hockey as I have participated in multiple training camps as well as in USA Field Hockey Futures. I am always willing to better myself and my skills as well as trying to get my team to also excel. I have been on varsity since ninth grade and a varsity captain the past two years (junior and senior year). I have great leadership skills and love to use teamwork to accomplish a goal. I am a three sport athlete, I also play basketball and participate in track and field. I play guard in basketball and run the 4x800, 800, 400, and 4x400 in track. I am involved in many extra curricular activities at my school other than sports including National Honor Society (2015 President), Student Council (2013-present Treasurer), Key Club, and I have represented my school at many leadership seminars including HOBY at RPI and Empire Girls State at Brockport College. I am currently doing two internships, one at a local hospital and one in our county building working with government officials. I love to be involved in the community and try my best to be a leader in and out of the school setting. I would make a great addition to your team because I am an energetic and intense player who will always be someone you can count on.
