Personal Statement
My goal as an athlete is to play field hockey at a college that is also strong academically, especially in my intended major. I have just recently, during my freshman year of high school, started to play field hockey. The sport and the required skills will stay with me forever. Years in team sports have taught me sportsmanship, teamwork and respect of coaches, officials and other players. In college, I intend to study Social Work. My goal is to help as many people as I can throughout there troubling times.
I was proud to be named head captain of my varsity team this year.
I have attended many camps and clinics over the last 3 years, and have played for Sick Field Hockey in Rhode Island. My current position is everywhere. I enjoy playing center midfield, but I am used where my coach needs me. During my offseason from club and school field hockey I got to the gym to continue to strengthen myself as a player.I look forward to my upcoming Club season.
