Personal Statement
I have been playing field hockey since I was in the 7th grade. Since then I have fallen in love with the idea of playing field hockey at the college level.
For me, every coach that has seen me play has always mention my speed and persistent pursuit after the ball. Even if it's a sprint from the 50 or chasing down a ball that will more than likely go out, I don't let up until I hear the whistle. To me every game can be changed by one event, so why not take every opportunity that is available and try to change it.
As a student athlete, and a normal teenager, I have learned how to manage my time since being in high school. From this I have been able to keep a high GPA while still being involved with my school athletics, clubs and community service.
In college I hope for an education that will help in leading me in the direction of my major, but will give me the opportunity to play a sport that has influenced my life so much.
