I've been playing field hockey since 6th grade, first in middle school, then on JV, and on varsity since 10th grade. I love the sport and it brings focus and balance to my life. I am involved in school activities, in academics, athletics and the community - taking everything together, I think I'm a well rounded person, and I would bring to the team a sense of commitment and dedication.
I have a 93 GPA, and have made honors each quarter since I've been in high school. I also participate in varsity swimming and varsity soccer, am active in Key Club, and in Madrigals, which is our school's a cappella choir. I'm the alto section leader for the choir, and we've traveled to Rome to sing at St. Peter's and a number of other cathedrals in Italy, as well as to London to sing at the Olylmpics. I am also a team volunteer at the Hospice House and have been a junior volunteer at the hospital in the past. This summer, I am working at Water Country USA in the retail department, for the 2nd summer. Last summer I received an all-star award for my work there. Staying busy and working hard is something that I like to do.
I do not give up on anything, and field hockey is my favorite sport, and is something that I love and really enjoy. I very much want to continue to play field hockey in college.
