Personal Statement

My name is Jewel Keels. I was introduced to field hockey by my coach. From the 1st time picking up a field hockey stick I knew it was for me. Ever since then I've been working hard to get to the next level. During my two seasons I have won some awards, but none have given more joy than playing this game. I want to be a part of a program where the team is more than a team. It's more like family in and out of season. Along with that I plan to major in nursing or education (special education). I'm a team player, very coachable and I'm always willing to step up if needed. In my spare time I'm a 10 yr Girl Scout (Ambassador). I also help out with our school's unified classes. During the winter I help my mother's Eastern Star Chapter with their annual soup kitchen and coat drive.
