Kyle Berher '14 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5' 11" - 175lb sophomore attending Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School in Montgomery Alabama.  I've started and lettered in Varsity Football since Freshman year, as well as Basketball and Baseball.

I play for a small 3A school, where I have benefited by playing multiple positions.  I've played and am playing at Strong Safety, Linebacker, Tailback, Fullback, Wingback and Wide Reciever as game dictates.  At times, I've also played Cornerback and backup Quarterback.  Sophomore year, I played primarily at Strong Safety, Wingback and Wide Reciever.  Since Freshman year, I've been viewed as a leader and have assumed a leadership roll on the team.  My coach would say I'm very "coachable"  and can be viewed & counted on as a "coach on the field".  If I played at a 6A school I believe I would start and play at either Strong Safety and/or Wide Reciever - I'm smart, skilled, like to hit and have great hands. 

I was nominated by my coaches and teachers for the Freshman Jimmy Hitchcock award for best Christian in Atheltics and Academics.

I am looking at all institutions where I can obtain a scholarship, and find the right balance between the classroom and on-the-field.   While I am currently undecided on a major, I'm very conscientious about my grade. I currently mantain a 3.31 on 4 scale, have taken ACT mid-sophomore year (obtaining a 20), and I am aware academics & career choice will be my ultimate goal while in college.  While primarily interested in schools located in the southeast, I would entertain all schools and make my determination based on potential playing time (what I can do for the school), while seeking the best fit academically.
