To whom it may concern,
My name is De’Angelo Forbes from Weaver, Alabama and I am writing to you because of my interest in playing football for your program. I have been a member of the Weaver High School football team for the past six years, and consider myself to be a beneficial player to my team.
Just to tell you a little bit about myself, I have played running back and wide receiver as my primary positions. I have also played the defensive back position, and am open to any other positions needed to benefit the team. While playing for Weaver High School, I have earned the All-County Award in 2014, Best Offensive Player Award in 2014, and Best Running Back Award in 2015. I had the honor in being invited to and participating in the Blue and Grey All American Combine in 2015. I was also invited to participate in the All American game that took place in Dallas, Texas, but was unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances. I have a passion for playing football, and give one-hundred percent whenever I step out on the field for practices or games. I think I have been a positive influence for players on my team, and have unlimited potential to benefit your program as well.
As a student, I am eager to learn and strive to bring leadership into the classroom. I currently have a 2.8 GPA and am scheduled to take the ACT this coming February. My personal goal is to finish my senior year with a 3.0 GPA or better and score an 18 or higher on the ACT. Outside of playing football, some of my extracurricular activities include: Basketball, Baseball, and Track.
I am interested in meeting and talking to you about the possibility of being a part of your team for the upcoming 2016 football season. Below I have included a link to my YouTube video of my Hudl highlights. If there is anything I can do to help you decide whether I might be a good fit for your program please don’t hesitate to ask.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I have listed my contact information below. I look forward to hearing back from you soon.
Senior season stats: Rushing- 82 attempts for 1,115 yards with an 8.6 average per carry with 13 Touchdowns I also had 10 Receptions for 86 yards in 11 games played this season.
On defense UT 19, AT 13, TFL 2, 32 TT, 1 PBU, 1 INT in 11 games playing the Safety position.
Sincerely,
