Personal Statement
I am currently attending Faulkner University on partial academic and athletic scholarship. I began playing football in fall of 2015 as a junior. My coach, at the time, heard that I could kick the ball pretty well and asked if I would like to play. I began practicing, watching technique videos, and teaching myself proper form. I consider myself a self taught Punter. My coach also asked me to kickoff, so I began studying kickoff, field goal, and PAT techniques. These were my responsibilities as a senior. I attended my first kicking camp summer of 2016 and was fortunate to be recognized as a "top prospect" through Pro-Kicker., which allowed me to compete nationally in Kentucky. I was also awarded the Gatorade award, which means a lot because it is based on character and coach-ability. Pro-Kicker ranked me 23 nationally among 2017 class and 42 nationally of all classes. My cummulative punt average is 42.6. Longest 67.
My academic interest is Veterinary Medicine. I graduated with a 4.46 weighted GPA. I was a 2 year PRIDE leader for my football team, an Alabama Sports Festival Ambassador, member of Senior Beta Club and National Honor Society Scholar. I have attended 2 leadership conferences in Maryland and a medical leadership conference at Johns Hopkins in Washington, D.C. earning a college credit in Foundations of Leadership.
With my desire to be a leader, my willingness to be a team player, my hard work ethic, my academic priorities, and my passion for Punting, I know I would be an asset to any school both athletically and academically.
