Personal Statement
Dear Prospective Coach: My name is Noah Winsor. I am a 6'2" 195lb Football Player, with a current GPA of 3.5, and graduating from South Anchorage High School in 2019. During my High School career, I have been blessed with several honors as the South Anchorage High School Kicker and Punter. In 2017, as a Junior, I was awarded the honor of being selected as the All-State Kicker of the Year, as well as the Cook Inlet Conference Top Honors Kicker of the Year. Additionally, at every game during the 2017 season, I was selected as the Player of the Game. During the same season at the South vs. Dimond game, I broke the South Anchorage High School field goal record with a 45-yard field goal, which earned me the BP Player of the Game honor. Throughout my freshman and sophomore year, I also had the opportunity to play cornerback, wide receiver and running back. This has allowed me to become a well-rounded player that understands all aspects of the game. I am eager for my Senior Season, as the Head Coach has given me the honor of being Team Captain, and head of the Senior Leadership. My coach has also appointed me to assist in the selection of equipment, training gear, and team apparel. This significant opportunity is due to my dedication to the overall success of the team, earned trust amongst the players, and my proven leadership qualities. I pride myself on my strong work ethic, desire to grow, and hunger to win. I have significant goals and ambitions on and off the field. My wish is to play Kicker and Punter in College while earning my degree. I fully dedicate myself to my academics and football training, giving 110%. I thrive off of the energy, enthusiasm, and comradery amongst my teammates. I come from a faith-filled home and draw strength from my beliefs. I am dedicated to inspiring those around me to make healthy, positive choices. In fact, my Head Coach has delegated me as the team ambassador of positive choices and a healthy lifestyle, which includes encouraging my teammates to stop harmful behaviors. It is extremely rewarding when my teammates come to me excited to share that they’ve decided to change their behavior and live a healthier lifestyle. I am confident that I can offer talent, an inspirational attitude, good moral character, and an all-around positive attitude to a school and community. My goal is to find a school at which I can complete my degree and play football.
