Personal Statement
My name is Hakeem Aldridge and I am currently in my senior season (Class of 2015) at Robinson High School “Senator’s" in Little Rock, Arkansas. I’m a 5’8, 200lb running back. I am also a member of the track team where I participate in the 4X100 relay, 200 meter’s and the 100 meter’s. I consider myself a multi-dimensional threat at running back, punt and kickoff returns. I also play standing DE and OLB.
Academically, I have a GPA of about 3.0 and my ACT score was 18.
My biggest impact on the field as a RB is still the ability to read my offensive blocks against a developing defensive scheme using explosive speed and power and when called upon. I am a very physical back.
This past 2013 football season our team made it to the playoff for the first time in 4 years. I rushed as a junior for over 600 yd’s, scoring 4 rushing TDs despite missing 6 games due to injury.
This year I was moved to the Power Running Back. I have rushed for over 500 yards and 10 TD’S midseason.
I believe
* Each season is different, but teamwork, knowing your assignment is still the key.
* Every RB is not fortunate to have a big line, but a good RB can and will find a way to make it happen. This was a tough lesson, especially in my junior season.
* I learned about being a leader as a senior and encouraging the new RB’s and others teammates how to study and play the game.
* You have to continue to be a student of the game and train smarter and harder each day.
My parents have always taught me to be responsible and work hard at everything that I do. They also have instilled in me to never settle for mediocrity.
I am confident that I will play college football at the highest level where my talents will be of service and make an impact. The idea football program for me is one with great academic programs along with a great strength and conditioning program. I am disciplined, teachable and will continue to be a student of the game of football. I will work hard to excel as a model student/athlete both on and off the field for any college program. All I ask of anyone is to give me a chance and I will do the rest! Below you will find a link to my midseason highlights. Please feel free to contact me.
