Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Justin Sturgill. I started playing Pop Warner football when I was 6 years old. I made my first touchdown when I was 7 years old, and football has been in my heart ever since. I currently play wide receiver, and cornerback for my high school in Kingman, Arizona. I also play varsity soccer, and I am a member of the varsity track team. I am a team oriented player. During the summer I attend football camps to improve my skills and techniques. I also volunteer my time, and help with football camps sponsored by my high school.
Some of my other interests include cattle ranching, and archery hunting. My family has been involved in the cattle industry for many generations. I also love to archery hunt. Archery hunting takes dedication, discipline, and patience to be successful. Failure is not part of my vocabulary.
I am a hard working, honest, dedicated person, and I strive to do the best at everything. I have a strong desire to go to college to earn a degree, and to build a future. Also, going to college will allow me to become independent, and allow me the opportunity to meet new people. I am open to all different types of colleges. Both of my parents have college degrees, and I want to follow in their footsteps. Playing football while attending college would fulfill a lifelong dream of mine.
