Personal Statement

I have been getting myself prepared for college by staying active in school and in my community. I have attended several Elite football camps in 2015 & 2016 in Arizona & California. I have had a love for football ever since I could walk. I am a member of Youth Empowerment for Sucess, an advisory team at school and attended Teen Institute at the University of Arizona for 2 years. My Jr. Year I was nominated to be a Link Leader for the Freshman foundation class my Junior year & I returned my senior for the first semester. I am going to be volunteering with Special Olympics and am a teachers assistant for special education. I have been a participant in several events with Child and Family Resources of Az in the after school program at the  community level & AZYP. I have also served on a youth advisory council with MPA (Marana prevention Alliance). I have been a member of 4-H, raised a swine for market at the Pima County Fair, with the Northwest Outriders Club. I was excepted into the Upward Bound program (TRiO) and have been taking Saturday  enrichment classes at Pima Community College to prepare myself for college.  I have been on the MHS JV & Varsity basketball team, attended several basketball camps and played in tournaments around southern Arizona the summer of 2015 and during Fall Ball. Recently I played in a football passing league with MHS, we took 3rd place at SDSU in June 2016. I am also currently looking into taking scuba classes in Tucson to become certified with PADI. I work at the University  of Arizona part time in concessions during baseball, basketball and football.   At home I have many responsiblities and help my parents with chores. My brother and I have a good relationship and practice on the weekend. I am dedicated and committed on keeping my mind and body sharp.

I want to study Marine Science near the coast, my interest is in marine life and the enviroment. I frequently go snokeling and spear fishing in Mexico. Last year I placed second in a fishing durby up in Greer, Az ,it was a great experience.

My parents support my efforts and I want to make them proud. I look forward to see what my future holds.
