Personal Statement
I am a hardworker and I'm always looking for improvement. I am never satisfied. Academically, I usually underestimate what I can do, but once I set my mind to do something I know I can accomplish my goals. My grades might not show much due to my IEP needs in Reading and Math Comprehension, but I study as much as I can and I try as hard as I possibly can to get good grades. As an athlete, I push hard to get better everyday, and I try to have fun, because that's what's important to me. Doing what I love, is playing football, but football is a privilege and I guess that's what kept me on a good track, school-wise and at home. It kept me in school and working hard on my grades. It helped me to stay out of trouble. Football has always been my passion. Since I was little, all I've ever wanted to do has been to play football. It's where I can express myself, and I have fun doing it. Overall, I can say that I am determined, dedicated, and I'm always willing to hear what my coaches have to say. It's not just a sport, to me it's something that I would love to do for the rest of my life. One of my biggest fears is never being able to play again. Which is why I work hard and do whatever it takes to play football. Other than sports, something that I'd be interested in studying is architecture. It is something that I grew up around. My dad, uncles, grandfathers, and family have been in the construction industry as framers, and with them working as construction workers, I can visualize the designs and the structures and it captures my attention. It seems interesting and I would love to learn more about it and study the trade.
