Personal Statement
"Motivation has to be a fire from within. If someone else tries to light that fire under you, chances are it will burn very briefly". Stephen Covey
When 5:00 am workouts or 100 degree practices seem tough, I think of how incredibly lucky I am TO GET to be participating in them. I think of how many guys would give almost anything to have a fraction of my athleticism, grades, etc. I think of friends of mine with brain tumors that will never get to experience the incredible life I live. I play for those kids! My talents are God's gift to me, how I use them is my gift back to him.
Our family motto is "do something today that your future self will thank you for". I have two older brothers, one of which walked on to play college football. I lived firsthand through him the difficulties and struggles of a college athlete. This makes me much less of a risk to a college because I already know that being a college athlete is a job! I'm applying for my dream job and prepared to be the best employee on the field!!!
