Personal Statement

My name is Bailin Markridge, I am a Junior at Sandra Day O'Connor high school in Phoenix, Arizona.  I am 6'2'" tall and I weigh 178 pounds.  I have been the Varsity starting Quarter back at a Division 1 (highest level in Arizona) since my Sophomore year.  This past season, I guided my team back to the State Play-offs for the first time in the last four years.
1st Team QB All-Section, All-Region (Division 1, Section 5 ) Honorable Mention QB All-USA for the State of Arizona.  Most Outstanding Offensive Player 2 Years in a row voted on by my coaches and team.  A member of the National Honor Society, Society of Male Scholars, and a member of the Spanish Honor Society. I have received invitations to compete at a Regional Elite 11 camps, and the Rivals.com Camp series.
What I can offer to any team is a player with the drive to be the best I can possibly be. I am a very hard working player, working hard at practice, and giving it all on the field. I have always dreamed of playing college football, to become a great role model to all my peers and to make my parents proud.
In the future I would like to use my athletic ability to gain a great college education, first and foremost. I realize that there are only a small number of athletes that have the ability to get their education paid for through a college scholarship.  I someday aspire to play sports at the professional level.  I do indeed know that to reach that level I will need to put in a lot of hard work both on the field and in the classroom to achieve that type of success.
