DWC - Defense wins championships
1st Team All-Section defensive linemen
Ever since I stood under the Friday night lights as a pop-warner athlete, I have been striving to play at the collegiate level. I believe football is more than a game;It creates a bond between teammates that is incomprehensible.
I have always been known as being the most coachable player on my teams, that is why I have excelled above others. My speed is crucial in my ability to play football. I have always been the quickest defensive linemen on the field, regardless of opposition. Another attribute that I have always been known for is my explosiveness off the ball; my acceleration when the ball is snapped is tremendous. Every play I want the ball to come to me; I am eager to tackle the running back for a loss and personally my goal is to get a TFL every play.
I work on the field as hard as I work in the classroom. As a current National Honor Society member, My passion lies in football and hard work, but I also enjoy immersion trips and giving back to the less fortunate. Every year I go to Guatemala for a week to stay at a underprivileged orphanage where I work with special needs children, who only speak Spanish. Because of this, I have appreciated my athletic ability even more and strive to work harder.
I hope to excel in collegiate football because I believe that with my passion and knowledge, combined with my athletic ability, I can be a top recruit in the 2015 football season and be the football player YOU want me to be.
Respectfully,
Dakota Ducar #88
"Dakota Ducar (6-2, 220) has quickness on the defensive line. He also shows great acceleration when the ball is snapped. In the classroom, he's a National Honor Society member and earlier this month, went on an unofficial visit to Ivy League-school Brown (R.I.). He added NAIA offers last week from Jamestown (N.D.) and Rocky Mountain College (Mont.) along with one on Tuesday from Northwestern (Iowa) giving him five total offers. He was part of a Brophy defense that stifled Chaparral last week 17-9 and shut the Firebirds out in the second half."

"Look, they are a great team," said Ducar, who has already fielded nine offers from inquiring college programs. " Ducar, a weakside defensive end/linebacker, hasn't been too shabby himself, racking up 114 total tackles and a team-high 15 tackles for loss as well as leading his team in sacks during his senior campaign. "I love it, because I feel like I'm playing at a crucial position," said Ducar of his hybrid role. "I feel like I can solidify a play. If an offensive tackle pancakes a defender and does his job, the play can still continue. But for me, I can be a playmaker. I can go above and beyond my job.
