I was brought up by two former professional athletes who have gone through it all. It has been engrained in me to always put my education before the extracurricular things in my life and that wisdom and education are among the greatest contributors to my success in football. I've been playing football for 11 years. My father Jeff, was a former linebacker with Arizona State University and later in the NFL. He's been a great mentor and coach for me throughout my football years. In 2014 I attended the ASU 7 on 7, NAU 7 on 7, ASU Elite Camp and was invited to and attended the Denver Football University camp which resulted in a nomination to attend the FBU Top Gun Camp in Ohio. This followed my Sophomore year where after 2 great games on JV, I was brought up to Varsity where I was excited to start in 2 games in our 2013-2014 season.
As a Junior during this past 2014-2015 season, I was a starter as outside linebacker and after 4 games, my coaches positioned me as the starting fullback too. I believe it's my coachability and solid athleticism that led to this decision and my ability to increase our scoring potential during the season. I have been a two sport athlete at Desert Vista HS also playing varsity lacrosse since my freshman year. Our team won the 2014 State Championships.
Throughout my Junior season I worked hard to improve my physical edge, footwork, strength, tenacity, leadership and become a more well suited player of the game. My Junior year is fast coming to an end and since our season ended, I have chosen to increase my sport specific training in football. I am grateful to my parents who have helped me follow my dream to play collegiate football and found coaching and training opportunities for me over the past several months so that I may increase my speed, agility, footwork and flexibility. In late February I participated in the USA Football Regional Camp and was excited about my performance there as the leading linebacker at the Phoenix camp. I'm planning to attend many events over the summer and look forward to talking with coaches and recruiters who may feel I am a good fit for their football team and academic setting.
