Personal Statement
I would like to introduce myself, I am Alex Bongiovanni, a hardworking and talented young man looking to continue my passion, football. I am going to continue to pursue my dream to play in college. I have played football for 6 years and now training for my 7th season. I am currently in the process of speed, agility and strength training for the camps/combines I have scheduled for this spring. I am working to close out my high school football career with a bang the same way I started it. Every year I strive to exceed the previous years stats and wins. Freshman year I was named Offensive MVP for my team. Sophomore year I was able to put together a very solid year while playing with a torn hip labrum. This offseason I had surgery to repair it and was able to return to the field in 4 months. I played nearly every down including special teams. My determination, strong will and love for the game drove me to return so quickly. I had my best season surpassing most of my former numbers. Doing so I earned Defensive MVP honors. I grew a lot as a person/player this season and hope to use that as I head into senior year. I see myself as a versatile player because I play at a high level on both sides of the ball(fullback, running back and middle linebacker). I can truly see myself succeeding in the collegiate level if given the opportunity. When given the opportunity I do not disappoint because I realize opportunities don’t come easy.
Academically I find myself to be pretty strong as well. I am a hard worker with a great memory. I know how to get things done efficiently. I am continually pushing myself to be a better student as well as an athlete. At the moment I am set to graduate with a 3.1, but I am engaging in achieving a higher GPA. I wish to elevate my skills in the classroom and on the field. I know I have the capabilities to be more successful in the classroom, and know that an education is important for my future. In life I love to push myself past my limits. One of the reasons I love football so much is because you are constantly challenged. That being said I will be taking the SATs in the spring of this year. I think I want to pursue psychology. Whichever subject I decide to major in I am willing and dedicated to put the time and effort needed into receiving a great education. I would like to thank you for taking the time to review my college recruiting resume. I would like to learn more about you and your football program. Have a great rest of your day.
Sincerely,
Alex Bongiovanni
