Grant had 24 receptions for 324 yards and 2 TDs during league play in 2013 which earned him 2nd Team All-League Grant plays the slot receiver in our spread offense, which we use as the "reader" of the two inside receiver position. As the "reader", the player needs to be able to read multiple defenses, know the route adjustment for each defense, and do this in a matter of seconds. Grant was selected to be the "reader" for us because of his overall intelligence, quick thinking, and understanding of space on the football field. Grant has a knack for getting open, has excellent hands, and is a chain-mover. He has excellent length, runs well, is elusive, and is not afraid to operate in the middle of the field. He understands the offense inside and out, so he often acts as a coach on the field, making sure the other receivers are lined up properly and know the route. Grant was selected by his teammates as a captain and has embraced his role as a leader on the team. He is dependable, trustworthy, and has a strong work ethic. Grant is also an outstanding student who has a 3.94 GPA while taking multiple AP and College Prep classes. Grant also is a 3 year varsity player on the baseball team.
