Alec Bonsall ‘13 Recruiting Profile

Personal Statement

I am a 6-1, 220 pound student athlete (criminal justice major). I was a 1A recruit out of high school, and chose to gray shirt as a linebacker at the University of Nevada Reno. After a medical issue (asthma/kidney), the University and I mutually agreed that I no longer play football. The following summer I went to the hospital at Stanford University, and they told me that I could continue playing football.

I chose to play at Cabrillo College, which is close to my home in Aptos, CA. My freshmen year at Cabrillo went well. I finished the season 2nd in the state with forced fumbles after starting the season as a tight end.

Work ethic is something I pride myself on. I am normally the first guy in our weight room and the last to leave.

I primarily play Defensive End, but I have also played Linebacker, Fullback and Tight End. 

I am not opposed to playing anywhere geographically. I've lived on the west coast my whole life, and would like to see different parts of the country.
